Delicate Beauty

Sometimes you take an image in passing and don’t think much about it. This is the story about one of those images. It is an image I took of a yellow rose. At the time I thought nothing special about it. It was not in my mind a significant image or one I was really looking forward to seeing on the computer in the hopes that I got “the shot”. It just looked pretty so I thought sure let’s snap that.

However, once I got home and started transferring the images to my computer and looking to see what I captured the true beauty of this rose shined through. The image shows both the fragility of the rose as well as its strength. The way the light hits the rose highlights this in a way I had not set out to capture but am glad I did.

This photo is one of my favorite rose images. Despite not starting out with the intent of achieving this delicate yet strong look I am glad I was able to capture it and share it with the world.
